Source: Indiana Business Journal Indianapolis-based Boomerang Ventures led funding rounds for two health tech startups—Wicked Technologies and Lizzy Care. Wicked Technologies, based in Louisville, secured $2.1 million for its Wicked Smart Pad, a reusable incontinence pad with moisture-detecting sensors. Lizzy Care, based in New York City, raised $2.6 million for its platform that helps families of dementia patients coordinate with care teams.

Indianapolis-based Boomerang Ventures, which operates a venture studio and invests in Midwest-based health technology companies, was the lead investor in funding rounds for two different startups, Wicked Technologies and Lizzy Care. Louisville-based Wicked Technologies secured a $2.1 million funding round to advance the development of its Wicked Smart Pad, a reusable incontinence pad with sensors that detect moisture and alert caregivers. New York City-based Lizzy Care secured $2.6 million for its platform, which allows the families of dementia patients to communicate and coordinate with their care teams. Both of these funding rounds closed in December.
