Dr. Eric Beier has extensive experience as a physician entrepreneur and investor. He is the managing director of The Liberator Group, a private equity group focused on geriatric care and founder and managing member of Maple Seed Capital, a private equity group focused on Northeast Indiana. Eric serves as president of the VisionTech Angels Fort Wayne chapter.
Prior positions include chief medical officer of MediGain, a global physician revenue cycle management company. He was the founder and CEO of MedOptima, a physician revenue cycle management, practice management and consulting company, which was purchased by MediGain in a successful exit. He has also started several medical practices and an emergency medicine billing company. Eric was the product line manager for Cardiovascular Diagnostics at Boehringer Mannheim Corporation, now part of Roche Diagnostics. Early in his career, he practiced as an emergency physician in Indiana. He has served as a board member and leader for several nonprofits, including the Indiana Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Fort Wayne Medical Society, the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center, and Crossroad Child and Family Services.
Eric graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Hanover College. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
